Journal #5 True Grit (BSR)

The most important scene for me is when in some since just solidifies Mattie as just the annoying person in the background but it also shows the value of her. This scene is just after she saves LaBoeuf she shots Chaney getting her revenge on the man who killed her father but intern she falls down the into the pit with all the snakes and is bitten by one as Rooster is saving her.

Realism VS Antirealism

Realism is trying to get your film as real as possible whether it is making people die when they get shot or the chase seen being as real as possible. As in most of your war movies people can’t dodge bullets or be shot 100 of times without dying that is realism.

Journal #4 Looking at movies

Most war movies have a simple theme two sides going after each other unlike most genres it is always quite possible that the good side or the team that most people cheer for may lose or the main character may die. Unlike a lot of your action genre films it is more realistic than the average film. The realism comes to fact because if they don’t make it as real as possible people can just easily go look it up on most films. If they are depictions of real battles or even whole wars.

Journal #3 How to

The process of skinning a deer is very easy if you have the proper tools and know where to make the initial cuts. Allowing for the deer to cool will make it harder for the skin to come off As soon as possible skin the deer so the skin comes off easier. You can have it done professionally if you wish but following these simple steps you can save some money.

Tools

            Knife (for making cuts)

            Bone Saw (for cutting bones)

Meat hook (to hang deer up)

Propane Torch (burning hair off meat)

            Rope (to hang deer)

            Steel (to sharpen knife)

Step 1
Make slits in back leg tendons and hang deer from hooks in air. This will make everything easier so you will not have to bend over the deer and makes it a lot nicer to pull the hide off later.

Journal #2 Old fashion truth

http://www.beyondhollywood.com/uploads/2012/06/Clint-Eastwood-in-Trouble-with-the-Curve-2012-Movie-Image.jpg

The movie review of "Trouble with the Curve" by Keith Phipps (http://www.avclub.com/articles/trouble-with-the-curve,85174/).
Reviews "Trouble with the Curve" witch is a movie about an ageing baseball scout who is known for finding young talent before it truly shows itself and his daughter who is very close to being partner at a law firm but is talked into going after her father.

Unlike most actors and people Eastwood embraces his ageing in his work. Trouble with the Curve may not appeal to Eastwood's fans that liked him in his action movies and westerns it dose bring in a new element of Eastwood into light that he is human and not some angry old man.

How to clean long guns

Smoking shotgun
Smoking gun
VICTOR DE SCHWANBERG/SCIENCE PHOTO LIBRARY

Most people shot themselves when they think the gun is empty. This is a brief proper way to not shoot yourself when you are a tempting to clean your gun. Make sure that gun is empty, action is open and safety is on. If shot gun remove magazine ( beware of magazine spring) and take barrel off of action. If rifle remove barrel so you can push cleaning rod from action to muzzle. This so if there is dirt in the barrel it wouldn't fall into the action. Clean action with brush and gun cleaning solvent. Wipe done shot gun barrel with degreaser and replace respective parts. Wipe down all metal surfaces with degreaser because the oil off your hands will rust the gun. Wipe down the stock and place back into safe and secure area.

David Maraniss

David Maraniss brings up some key points about last weeks Packers Seahawks. His argument is that he is not mad at the refs but rather the Seahawks Head coach and the Seahawks starting Quarter Back for acting like they won the game fair and square and ignoring the actually reality.

I really could care less on how any of the Seahawks acted. It is kind of dumb that they though they won but that can't be stopped. What really makes me mad is the fact that the NFL let the replacement refs actually ref what injuries could have been avoid if the regular refs were there. All this really boils down to is money greedy NFL. They get millions of dollars a year why are they worried about giving money to the refs. Now lets hope the NFL can learn from this and not allow replacement refs ref and maybe even they will get the arguments done faster next time so they don't have to put in any replacements.
